Drew
Drew has lived in New York City since 2002, and in Brooklyn for the past seven years. He is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, where he studied photography and graphic design. He has more than 15 years of work experience from a variety of fields, including marketing and advertising for the hospitality, tourism, finance and education fields. From the early days of his photography work, Drew focused much of his attention on landscapes, architecture and structural spaces, including both exteriors and interiors. This makes the progression to real estate photography a natural one for Drew.
Yale
Yale Wagner has shot interiors and architecture for some of the top magazines and brands, domestically and internationally. His work has been featured in Esquire and Interior Design Magazine, among many others. He has worked with some of the city's top interior designers, and has been commissioned by some of the New York's top real estate brokers. In his work for Rise Media, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a sophisticated eye.
Ryan B.
Ryan is a professional New York City-based photographer whose client list includes a number of the city's top designers, architects and realtors (both commercial and residential). Also a portrait photographer, Ryan's extensive portfolio includes notable names from screen, stage and publishing. He received his BFA in film in 1997.
Michael
Michael is a professional New York City based photographer/videographer. Starting his career as a Director of Photography in film making, Michael made the transition to commercial photography seamlessly. He earned a Certificate in Film and Media while studying in Sydney, Australia. Michael has been with Rise Media as a videographer and editor for nearly 2 years. His personal clientele include top commercial/residential real estate firms in NYC and the Hamptons. As well as a number of other companies in the digital marketing industry.
Julie
Julie is a filmmaker and photographer. She graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz for Media Production (Documentary Studies) and Photography. Growing up on Eastern Long Island, she nurtured her sense of creativity and curiosity spending many hours exploring. Because she has always had an interest in arts, Julie has found that working for Rise Media is the perfect combination of her skills and creativity.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth joined Rise Media in 2014 and quickly proved that her eclectic background with photography has helped to make her a superb asset to many real estate professionals' marketing campaigns. A graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, MA, Elizabeth has been photographing for over 6 years. Elizabeth's photo experience ranges from photographing professional athletes for Reebok, to apprenticing under National Geographic & Magnum photographer, Steve MCurry to being sent to capture President Obama's 2013 inauguration for the US Air Force Academy. Elizabeth recently relocated to NYC from Denver, CO to pursue her dreams of becoming an international freelancer. Elizabeth is a world-traveled photographer with exquisite attention to detail and great patience for that 'one' shot.
Ryan G.
An award-winning film director and passionate photographer, Ryan is an avid photographer with an excellent sense of composure, angle, and depth. Ryan is ambitious, dedicated, and reliable. A graduate of Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey with a degree in Radio/Television/Film, Ryan has been photographing for over 10 years. Ryan's latest film, "Death By Scrabble," made the top 200 in HBO's Project Greenlight this past August. His previous film "Town Red," screened at the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival and aired on national television. Wrapping up a digital project manager position with LexisNexis in New Jersey earlier this year, Ryan moved to Brooklyn and is excited to be back in the fast paced, New York City market.
Abdur
Camera Shy!
Abdur is a well-rounded, production savvy veteran of television and film. He is a quiet storm of professionalism and efficiency. This has led to Abdur teaming up with living legends in the entertainment business. Abdur is currently in development on several television shows, documentaries, and feature films. Abdur's producing acumen has also led to the success of the high school football rivalry reality series, Crosstown Rivals, for Fox Sports Net. As a producer Abdur has line produced highly rated reality shows such as, College Hill season III & season IV, Lil' Kim: Countdown to Lock Down, DMX, Soul of a Man, Stage Black with Edmonds Entertainment. Beauties And The Boss for Mun2, Master Of The Mix, for BET Television and TV One, and he has Produced for Fox Sports Net a series named Americans In Focus.
Before mastering the world of television reality production, Abdur honed his skills in the world of film and visually stunning music videos. He served as the Executive Assistant to cutting edge MTV award winning director Hype Williams for over seven years during the "Golden Era" of music video production. From his early days on set with Spike Lee working as a production assistant on Clockers and Girl 6, he knew that he wanted to become a producer. Those experiences and his passion allowed him to network his way into a position on the set of Barry Levinson's feature film Sleepers.
Having a film and television career under his belt, Abdur is also very passionate about photographic imagery. Expanding on his capabilities of being a photographer, a hidden passion of his that enables him to share in the creative world of photography.

Preparing your listing for Photos with Rise Media
Professional photography is a great marketing investment. Getting your listing "photo-ready" for the big day is similar to preparing it for a showing. Of course, you want everything to be perfect because after all, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Except this time, your first impression may potentially reach hundreds or thousands or viewers. The best thing is to walk in with an open mind, just make sure everything is neat and tidy, and leave the photography to the photographer. Remember that homes are set up for living not professional photography, so here are some helpful hints:
Interior
- Neat and tidy is best. Rooms should be clean and simple, open and airy. Remember, the new owners will re-decorate. Your focus here is the room itself and not the items it contains.
- Put away or hide any valuables or personal items including artwork, furnishings, jewellery, photos etc. While most of these items may seem to appeal to your audience or have visual value, it should not be included in the image unless it cannot be moved. The point is to de-clutter the room and you certainly do not want to give your prospective buyer's the wrong impression. If possible, your images should only include what is for sale.
- Make a point of letting your photographer concentrate on what s/he is doing. Most importantly, do not schedule a photo-shoot during an open house. Nothing ruins the perfect shot easier than someone walking through the frame. The photographer will be asking for you input on different shots, and if you cannot give him your undivided attention, the final product may not be what you had in mind.
- Light opens up the room. Make sure you open all the blinds/curtains, turn on all the lights, and try to let in as much light as possible. Each final image is composed of numerous exposures, and this allows for removal of shadows and color correction. If the photographer needs less light, they will make the necessary adjustments. Lastly, photographers usually have a finite amount of time on site, so try to arrive early and let your photographer focus on the shot of the room, not styling it. If you're unsure, feel free to ask the photographer's advice.
- All blankets, cushions, sheets, pillows etc should be aligned, smooth and wrinkle free. Potential buyers will notice these little details, and you don't want wrinkled cushions to be a distraction.
- Decorative features / props can distract attention from the property. Avoid setting the dining table, remove ornamental bits and pieces and de-clutter the coffee table of magazines, books or remote controls.
Exterior
- The lawn should be well manicured and free of leaves.
- Move any cars, or trash cans. Remember to ask yourself, "Would this fit in a magazine?"

Final Suggestions
The best thing to do is keep things simple as possible. No one wants to see lots of clutter, so clean and neat is key. All rooms should be bright and airy, and keep distractions to a minimum. After that, just let the photographer do what they do best, and your property will show itself!

How to order: (Please be sure to follow ALL steps or images will not be processed)
- Pick furnishings:
- View the online catalogue at risemedia.3dfurniturecatalogue.com
- Choose the furnishing set(s)
- Indicate location of furniture for each image on a floor plan (recommended but not required)
- Be clear and concise in your instruction
- For example, you can say:
Image 1(bedroom: stage with #1234. Place all items as you see fit best. OR Image 2 (living room): stage with couch from #4567, rug from #3456, painting from #0123. Place couch against left wall, rug underneath etc.
- Order and upload:
- Enter all applicable info and upload hi-res images below (Images MUST be at least 1MB in size)
- Upload the corresponding floorplan / sketch with placement of furniture marked clearly (recommended but not required)
- List the item numbers for furniture from step one (above) in the notes section of the order form with the corresponding photos.
- Label your images, for example:
"123 Main_Bedroom" use Bedroom layout "0142"
- Double check your information and submit the form to us.
- Once we receive Hi-Res image & the catalog selections we will process the staging. Processing takes 1 business day.
- If you need any edits after the fact, those will also take up to 1 business day to compete. Edits could be subject to additional charges.
